The Red Kingdom is a project to give home to a handful of characters who have been with me and Alex for a while. Purdy and the Two Kings is the first of who knows how many entries. The project is anecdotal in nature -- less about overarching plot and more about learning the lore through episodic glimpses into their circumstances.
It was extremely fun bringing this little yeehaw band to life. If you like sci-fi westerns about retired outlaws trying to live their best lives, give it a read!

My kingdom for a Dante and Vergil buddy comedy. I love these garbage emotionally stunted twins...
(Devil May Cry 6 when?) Horizon: Zero Dawn is officially the story that rendered me to tears the most in my entire life... I spent 90% of my playthrough sobbing into a pillow. What a wonderful game.
Anyway.... sequel, when? Very happy to announce a project I've been working on, "Dirty Magic," a collaboration with Mildred Louis. who is heading the project as well as the colors, and will be lettered by Ariana Maher.
It's scheduled for launch October 2019 via Astrea's Nexus. Learn more here! I collaborated with DUAL WIELD STUDIO to create some enamel pins of the western astrological zodiac! I'm quite proud of how they turned out, I hope everyone likes them as much as I do.
The kickstarter for it is live until July 13, 2019 so be sure to get them at a discount if you can. Did some sketches in promotion + excitement for this visual novel! The people making it are shining bright and so are these characters. I can't wait to play it in full and smooch all of them.
Today is the 1 year anniversary of Alex Singer's first published novel, Minotaur!
Read it now if you haven't yet -- or read it again if you have! I watched through The Masked Singer season 1 and I think it may be my new favorite anime of all time... Seriously, though, the first reality show that's made me cry!
It's emotionally compromising how much love I have for Monster. I'm so glad he won. (hey Masked Singer, hire me to do dumb gag comics of your contestant personas....) Little Foolery is a banner name for a partnership between myself and Alex Singer, my favorite writer and my best friend. The year 2019 marks the 10th anniversary of us creating stories together, so I commissioned 26 artists to commemorate every story release between 2009-2018. My own piece is a collage composition to commemorate the occasion.
Like most people, got swept up in the Hamilton craze when it was first picking up steam. I was lucky enough to be early enough on the hype train to grab a ticket with the original cast, and managed to grab one right at the front row on the cheap as a birthday gift for myself (bought it for a showing 8 months ahead, but still!). What a show to make my first New York broadway play ever.
At around the time of my showing, I got invited on the infamous zine organized by Arielle Jovellanos, and the day after my showing it was announced LMM would end his run on the stage. It was fate as far as I was concerned. For a play about making history in the moment, it truly was historical for me to see this play in New York in That Moment. Truly a piece of art I can say impacted my life significantly, and for the better. Odin Sphere is one of my favorite games, though I haven't drawn as much art for it as I'd like. I loved the remastered port for the PS4, Leifthrasir, and drew this set shortly after playing in 2016.
(I enjoy thinking of an alternate timeline where Mercedes grows up as an experienced fairy queen and Ingway is her court wizard...) Muramasa: Rebirth (the re-localized PS Vita port of Oboro Muramasa) was a game I lived in for 2013-2014, I played it so much. Naturally, I also drew a lot for it.
Generally I'm a big fan of Vanillaware games in both story and character art, and I've always been deeply attracted to ayakashi lore, so Muramasa was right up my alley.
I sure drew Overwatch a lot for a game I never played and never will play.
Drawn mostly through 2016-2017. I found out how to have Disqus installed onto this blog function, so the comments have been switched over! Sorry for those who already commented, those are gone... but they live on in my heart.
Drawn circa 2015-2016. Final Fantasy 7 defines me as a person, no biggie.
I have a zine full of tribute art in progress for the longest time... I'm hoping I finish it before the Remake comes out. |
