Like most people, got swept up in the Hamilton craze when it was first picking up steam. I was lucky enough to be early enough on the hype train to grab a ticket with the original cast, and managed to grab one right at the front row on the cheap as a birthday gift for myself (bought it for a showing 8 months ahead, but still!). What a show to make my first New York broadway play ever.
At around the time of my showing, I got invited on the infamous zine organized by Arielle Jovellanos, and the day after my showing it was announced LMM would end his run on the stage. It was fate as far as I was concerned. For a play about making history in the moment, it truly was historical for me to see this play in New York in That Moment. Truly a piece of art I can say impacted my life significantly, and for the better.
